These Terms of Service govern your use of belightmedia.com and any services provided by Belight Media (CAC Reg. No. 8660665), headquartered in Abakaliki, Nigeria. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Services
Belight Media provides thought leadership content services including ghostwriting, newsletter management, blog writing, ebook and white paper production, investigative research, and earned media pitching. Scope, timeline, and deliverables are agreed in writing before work begins.
Intellectual property
All content produced for a client becomes the client's intellectual property upon full payment. Belight Media retains no rights to client deliverables except where expressly agreed in writing. Belight Media retains ownership of its methodology, templates, and internal processes.
Confidentiality
We treat all client information as strictly confidential, including business strategy, unpublished content, and the ghostwritten nature of any engagement. We do not disclose client identities without explicit written consent.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in each client agreement. Retainer engagements are invoiced monthly in advance. Project work is invoiced per the agreed milestone schedule. Belight Media may pause work on engagements where payment is more than 14 days overdue.
Revisions
Each deliverable includes the revision rounds specified in the client agreement. Additional revisions are billed at the applicable hourly rate. Clients are responsible for final approval before publication.
Earned media
Where editorial pitching is part of an engagement, coverage is earned on editorial merit and is not guaranteed. However, we do offer paid placements or sponsored content. Publication decisions rest with the editorial teams of the relevant publications.
Limitation of liability
Belight Media's liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific deliverable giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, nor for the outcomes of published content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved, through the courts of Nigeria.
